Meet Naphtali Hoff, PsyD
I didn't start out as a coach. I started out as a leader who thought success meant doing everything myself — and learned the hard way that it doesn't. That experience is the foundation of everything I do today.
I learned leadership the hard way.
When I first stepped into leadership, I thought success meant doing everything myself. I worked longer hours. Took on more responsibility. Solved every problem that came my way.
And slowly I realized something: the more capable I became, the more everything depended on me.
That realization changed everything. I became a serious student of leadership and productivity — not just to fix my own situation, but because I saw the same pattern playing out in leaders everywhere. Capable, driven, hardworking people trapped by the very strengths that got them to the top.
Over 12 years ago I left school leadership to become an executive coach — to help leaders like you avoid making the same mistakes I made, and to build the systems that let you lead at the level you were meant to.
Strategy and psychology — together.
Most leadership consultants focus only on the "what" — the bottom line, the strategy, the output. But true, lasting change starts with understanding the "who." Why capable people underperform under pressure. Why delegation fails even when leaders want it to work. Why good intentions don't produce better habits.
My doctorate in organizational psychology, combined with 12 years of real leadership experience and a foundation in values-based leadership, shapes how I approach every coaching relationship. The frameworks I use come from years of research and three published leadership books — tested in the field, not borrowed from a bestseller.
