If you want to fix your results, fix your mind!

I spent two hours recently on a strategy session with a small business owner and friend.

The goal was to help him be more structured in his work day so that he can get more of the right work done.

But as I dug deeper, what emerged was a deep inner voice that was telling my client that he wasn't good enough to make this change and to succeed.

So, we went to work on the "gremlin" and started the process of flipping the script.

“𝙄 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚.”

“𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙢𝙚 𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚.”

“𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩. 𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

From there, we moved into the core objective of the session.

Had we gone all in without addressing the underlying issue, I doubt that we would have achieved what I think will be a sustainable positive change.

So much of what holds us back is in our head.

If you've been telling yourself a story that doesn't serve you, stop!

Find someone (coach, therapist, friends, etc.) that can help you and set you on the path of a new self-vision.

Because what we identify as (a doer, and achiever, a winner... or the opposite) is what will most frame our activities and impact results.

How will you flip the script?
